I don't think he has a book to push, so he must be just pissed with Bad Al Campbell spinning that Major and Lamont tried to block the Freedom of Information request for info on the White Wednesday ERM Exit. ("Spinning" trans. made it up).

The ex-Tory leader said his successor in 10 Downing Street had to to stop his party’s dirty tricks and take responsibility for the smears and spin that were his government’s stock in trade. Since New Labour came to power, Mr Blair had emasculated Cabinet government, politicised a once neutral government information service, ignored the conventions of straight and honest government and deceived the public on issues of war and peace.
