'Margaret on the Guillotine' Redux

In the election 'over there' last year, Morrissey came out for John Kerry, even though as a UK citizen he didn't have the vote. Not that it made much difference anyhow.

Things like star endorsements and election theme tunes are obviously too trivial for a site like this one. Then again, they're not trivial enough for the parties themselves so we can but indulge in a spot of speculation.

As a UK citizen, should he make an appearance this side of the Atlantic anytime soon, who would Mozza back? The lead single off his last album ('Irish Blood, English Heart') did contain the following:

"I've been dreaming of a time when
The English are sick to death of Labour
And Tories"

While we can't chalk that up as one for the Lib Dems, there's nothing to stop them using the song as an unofficial election anthem. Stranger things have been known.
