Standard in Livingstone jibe shock!

Today's Evening Standard has an interesting review of Martin Pugh's 'Hurrah for the Blackshirts!': Fascists and Fascism in Britain Between the Wars.

The review concludes in saying "egregious snideness may limit the appeal of this book to those who share the Mayor of London's cartoon view of history." While I wasn't aware of a chorus of historical nods in favour of Ken Livingstone's recent remarks, it should be noted how many mentions there are in the review itself to the circumstances behind the book's titlular allusion (namely the dalliance with fascism by the then Lord Rothermere, owner of the Daily Mail, which now owns the Standard, as you know) ie. one.
